#MY_BODY_IS WORTHY OF A BREAK

#my_body_is worthy of a break.

So I gave it one.

Honestly, it wasn’t easy.

But my body and my mind needed it.

So I gave it one.

That’s where I’ve been these last two weeks. Tackling the forever procrastinated to-do list so I could think straight again. Reminding myself that I’m human and not a robot and I can’t do everything all the time. Reminding myself that it’s okay to say enough is enough and take a step back.

Being a stay at home mom is a full-time job.

Being a home daycare provider is a full-time job.

Being a serious blogger and social media creator is a full-time job.

I’ve been trying to juggle accomplishing all three without a break. With no days off, with no vacations, nothing. Just a constant juggle of trying to accomplish three jobs worth of work. All my years of working in management and I would never allow my employees to work without a break. So why am I allowing myself to work without a chance to catch my breath?

My to-do list may not be one hundred percent complete.

I might not have finished all the content I wanted to.

But I did get a lot done, I started sleeping through the night regularly and I feel like a lot of weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

So take the break.

Lay that extra five minutes in bed.

Go for the coffee.

Sit in the couch during nap time.

Let the dishes wait a day.

Let the laundry wait an hour.

Take that shower.

Check something off your to-do list.

Go for a walk.

Wander the mall.

Water the plants.

Whatever a break looks like to you, take it.

Your body, your mind, your mental health – they deserve that break.

I repeat: You. Deserve. That. Break.
